Cask @ North Riding Brewpub, Scarborough. Pours pale gold, perhaps a fine mist to it, small white head. Not much Mosaic hop notes coming through, quite a noticeable bitterness to it, light floral shades but not pulling the punches unfortunately.

Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Hazed glowing gold with a lovely dense, semi lacing white foam. Nose has crackery malt. Sweet peach and nectarine. Whiff of pine sap. Taste is semi sweet with a crisp almost sharp bitterness. Bright and fresh mouthfeel. Crisp fizz. Zesty bitterness to finish. Pearler.

Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Moderate haze on a ginger gold. Even, fairly thick lasting white foam. Nose has biscuity malt. Pithy citrus. Some pine freshener. Taste is pretty bitter and lightly mineraly, with a modicum of biscuity sweetness. Easy drinking with decent body. Fine crisp carbonation. Juicy pithy bitterness to finish. Tasty pow wow.

Cask at Peterborough Beer Festival 2022. Pours deep brown towards black with a tight beige cap. Aroma: sweet malts, chocolate, nutty, milkshake. Taste: moderate sweet & light bitter, chocolate, nuts, vinous hints. Light to medium body with fine carbonation. Decent pastry on cask.

Cask at Alexandra, Derby. Pours almost black with minimal cream head and good lacing. There’s liquorice and roasted malts in the aroma. In the mouth it is slightly sweet overall, but liquorice is very much the dominant flavour. Some roasted malts and vanilla too though. Finish has the sweetness of treacle. This is rather nice.

Cask. Kelham Island Tavern. Clear medium gold. Super dense off white foam. Nose has dank sweaty hop juice. Sticky sweet malt. Taste is pretty sweet with a sappy bitterness. Plenty of body with fine carbonation. Lingering bitterness to finish. No shortage of hops in this one but it’s a bi sweet overall for me.

Cask. Rutland Arms Sheffield. Clear gold. Super dense white foam. Looks boss. Nose has creamy malt. Sweet citrus. Touch of sweet grape maybe. Taste is light sweet with pithy bitterness. Drinks ludicrous easy. Light bitter finish. Great golde here.
