Tried at Smith's Bourne. Amber colour with a white head. Big citrus and floral aroma with burnt orange rind. Taste light bittersweet to mid bitter. Full body, rich and smooth.

Cask. Gravity dispense. Shakespeare’s, Sheffield. Clear gold. Bright white head of open, sticky bubbles. Nose has sweet cereal. Doughy bread. Grassy hop. Some pink grapefruit. Taste is astringently bitter, with some chalky dryness. Light body. More astringency. Long, tangy bitter finish.

Cask. Shakespeare’s, Sheffield. Clear gold. Messy, sticky, lasting, white head. Nose has sweet grain with underlying pineapple, citrus, and piny notes. Taste is sweet, initially turning light, citrusy bitter. Light body. Nice and clean. Pithy citrus to finish.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy, pale amber. Film of white head. Nose has sweet, rotting stone fruit. Some vinegar. Wet cardboard. Taste is sweet and sour. Oh, honestly, I can’t be arsed to go on. How does a brewer manage to be so inconsistent? Often my favourite UK brewer, and often the most disappointing, sometimes, like now, within the space of two days. Bottled beer roulette. Annoying.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Oily black in the glass. Thin, dense, leggy, lasting, tan head. Nose has chocolate fudge. Chocolate brownie. Vanilla cream. Hint of roast coffee bean. Hint of vine fruit. Taste is sweet and chocolatey, with a fruity, vinous bitterness. Slick mouthfeel. Well matched, soft carbonation. Tang of vine fruit offsets the fudgy sweetness on the finish. Lovely.

Cask-conditioned at Brigantes, York 12/11/2017. Golden in colour, with a decent, white, head. Tropical fruits, grassy hops, some creamy malts and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Very hazy, pale gold. Thick, dense, white foam. Nose has pineapple flesh and skin. Juicy orange. Some fleshy stone fruit. Light, biscuit malts. Smells great. Taste is light, citrusy bitter, with a little dryness. Thin mouthfeel. Quite drying. Light bitter finish. Sets off great, with the looks and aroma, but there isn’t anything backing it up, really.

Cask @ Salopian. Pours a generally clear gold. Aroma has some sweet malt, peppery floral hop. Taste is largely medium-sweet malts, some citrus with a prominent bitter edge. S'alright.
