500ml bottle. Pours black with large tan head Big chocolate ice cream aroma. Taste is smooth with a distinct chocolate ice cream flavour, rather than just chocolate or cocoa. Light creamy vanilla attributes, but really it’s all about the chocolate. Very good indeed.

Cask @ Mallinsons Corner, Huddersfield. Golden with a small head. Has a mix of hops and tropical fruit flavours, with the latter lingering.

Cask (Nags Head, Reading) 4.2%. Light amber in colour. Peach, melon and grapefruit in the aroma. Hoppy and zesty taste with peach, orange, melon and grapefruit standing out. Very enjoyable.

[ As North Riding (East Ayton) Coconut Porter ].Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coconut, licorice, dark malt. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, coconut, chocolate, roasted, soaft licorice, late finish licorice notes. Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy, orange gold. Thin, dense, lacing, lasting, white head. Good looker. Nose has jammy sweet malts. Some marmalade. Some stone fruit. Some earthy herb. Taste has an initial sweetness. Some earthy, fruit stone bitterness. Thin body, erring toward watery. Finishes quite dry, with more of the fruit stone bitterness.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Pale gold with a soft haze. Film of white with a ring of loose bubbles. Nose has sweet and sticky malts. Nicely fresh, fruity hop, by way of tinned pineapple. Ripe mandarin. Some pine sap. Some flora. Taste has a spicy, soft floral sweetness. Lightly bitter. Light to medium body. Perfect fizz. Gets more bitter as it goes, with a good hop bite.

Cask. Shakespeare’s, Sheffield. Just about black. Thin, bubbly, sticky, light tan head. Nose is like sticking your head in a bucket of raisin Poppets. Very vinous and chocolatey. Hints of coffee bean and dark malts. Taste is sweet and vinous. Some charred bitterness. Dries out as it goes along. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium body. Fruity, vinous finish. Bit of a sipper, and very tasty.
