22/5/2019. From Bag in a Box at The Dove Street Inn Spring Festival, Ipswich. Pours hazy pale orange with a small off-white head. Aroma of funky apples, barnyard and light caramel. Moderate to medium sweetness, light tartness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Very drinkable.

Tap at Foley's, Leeds. Pours clear pale straw with minor white foam. Aroma: stewed pears, citrus, mild chilli. Taste: towards moderate sweet, light tart pears, then comes the chilli burn. Medium body with low carbonation. I liked it, won't be for everyone.

Cask handpull at Turnaround, Edinburgh airport. It pours clear greenish - yellow without a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily, poached pear, candy, pear drops and pear skin. The taste is crazy sweet upfront and throughout, oily, sweet candied pears, pear drops, sugary, no sign of the 7.5%, kind of artficial and fruit syrup with a lingering sweet pear finish. Medium body, flat and oily. Far, far too sweet and sugary. Couldn’t finish the half pint.

16/10/2018. Cask at the Stamford Post, Stamford. Pours pale gold with no head. Aroma of sweet and quite artificial pear, pear drop sweets, caramel and paraffin oil. Heavy sweetness, minimal bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, soft to flat carbonation.

Cask @ The Stamford Post (JDW), Stamford. No head. Color is pale yellow. Aroma and taste are sweet perry juice, sugar, fruits and has a very sweet finish. Cloyingly sweet.

Box @ JDW Montgomery Towers. Pours clear pale greenish yellow. Aroma is sweet perry pear, syrup. Taste is distinctly sweet, a little cloying, lots of pear drops, sugary. A bit too sweet for me.

BIAB at Tanners Hall JDW Darlington. Clear pale yellow gold, afew bubbles on top and aroma of sugary pear with vinegary hint. Taste is sweet, syrup, fruity pear, fleshy pear. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, lingering light pear at the finish. OK.

Keg @ The Abbey. Pours a vivid lemsip yellow, light carbonation. Taste is light, medium sweet, light mango syrup fruit. Clean and light fruit cider, mango doesnt particularly jump out but its ok.
