Bottle from The Inn Beer Shop, Southport. Clear bronze pour with a smallish but lingering off white head. Sweet malt aroma with some vague fruit and a hint of booze, with the taste being a similar yarn. Dryish bitter finish. Certainly a drinkable brew not without some character. As half decent Wirral bottled beer is a real rarity I would certainly drink it again if I could only find it more locally than Southport.

On gravity at the London Drinker festival 11/03/10. Dark brown with a reddish tinge. Aroma of dark chocolate and roasted malts with some sweet fruits. Flavour had plenty more chocolate, black coffee and a long, bitter finish. Very good.
