Beer number #8 tried at the Skipton Beer Festival 2025. Not chalked up as the session version but it is so. Golden, easy, hopped, traditional session stuff.

Cask på Old Brewer Norrmalm.
Dominerad av Citra. Lite för besk och sträv för en cask Ale.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness, online. Pours a very dark brown, small beige head Aroma is semi-sweet, roasted malts, lots of chocolate. Simple but nice. Taste again has a roastiness with a lovely moreish chocolate malt, some coffee bitterness in the finish with an hoppy tang to it. Light to medium bodied matched by the right amount of carbonation zing. Its a very good porter, not overly complex but well brewed. Certainly no nightmare.

Cask at Crafty Merlins, Darlington. Black brown colour, biege foam head and aroma of roast malt, chocolate, spice hint. Taste is malty, roasty, dark chocolate, coffee, with some notes of cinnamon spice, and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasty bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.
