On tap at the three horseshoes Waddington. Deep ruby colour with a slight tan head. Aroma has a touch of chocolate with stewed fruit. Taste light sweet.

Cask at the Queen Hotel (JDW), Aldershot. A deep reddish chestnut pour with a tight beige head; aroma of red fruit; thick smooth malty body with a plum taste and some chocolate malts; then a drier finish with some toast and jam. Rather good.

Cask half-pint: hand-pulled in The Pheasant, Wellington Shropshire on 25th Oct 2016. Slight haze to the light golden body, creamy textured white crown on top. Hop centric with a bitter overtone; refreshing and tasty: liked it.

Cask @ The Livery Rooms, Keighley. Very dark red and clear, with a small creamy, slightly off-white head. Has a light sweetness alongside some darker malts in its taste, and some dark fruits in its nose.

Handpull cask from the Wellington Arms, Bedford. Light gold, clear with a tiny bit of white head. Quite a bit of lacing. A small bit of malty, grassy aroma. Taste is sweet, almost a bit lagery underpinned by a grainy caramelly malt. Touch of golden syrup in the finish. A lingering hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Fairly standard stuff and while it does have some really nice points, there’s nothing to tempt me to come back for another pint.
