Cask @ Spa Vaults, Chesterfield. Clear golden with a creamy head. Mostly hoppy, it has some candy-sweet tropical fruitiness as a lingering aftertaste.

Handpull cask at the Brewery Tap. Dark brown, quite translucent with a small but tight beige head. Light malty aroma with only a bit of vanilla. Sweet taste with a jarring bitterness which borders on the tart. Vanilla extract looms large in the mouth. Light body, flat carbonation. It's a new cask so I wonder if it's not had time to breathe, but for me it's a bit strange, almost homebrewesque.

Handpull cask at the Dukeries Brewery Tap, Worksop. Reddish mid-brown, clear with a tight beige head. Heavy malty aroma with lots of toffee and light berry notes. Taste is full of toffee, but there's a surprisingly tasty note of cherry. It's a very sweet beer with suggestions of bittering hops in the long finish. Soft carbonation in the body: as befitting a brewery tap on a Friday evening, the condition is spot on. Very malt led and achingly traditional but well made.
