Handpull cask at the Victoria Inn, Bradwell Village, Milton Keynes. Light to mid-gold, clear with a small layer of white head. Light aroma of Hay and grass, not much else. Slightly sweet taste, more hay, some melted butter, some English bittering hop. It's in fine condition but sadly a boring beer.

Handpull cask at the Victoria Inn, Bradwell Village, Milton Keynes. Light to mid-brown and clear with a tiny layer of off-white head. Some oak notes on the nose, sweet malt, a touch of plummy jam. Sweet taste, more fruity notes but very malt-forward. Light to medium, soft carbonation. Nice.

Half pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at Sir John Oldcastle. Wetherspoon Beer Festival, March 24. Tiny white head blanketing the glass, clear golden body. Moderate smell of grassy hops and grain. Ripe citrus flavours joined by grainy malts. Mid-dry ending with far away bitterness. Just alright, easy to drink, and a bit thin. (London, 16.03.2024).

Cask at Square Bottle, Chester. Pours golden yellow with a medium sized foamy off-white head and good lacing. There’s wseet malts in the aroma, plus some hints of floral hops. In the mouth it is noticeably watery, starting off sweet before a little bitterness creeps in. Flavour has marmalade with hints of citrus, grapefruit and bread crusts. A little more bitterness in the finish. It’s OK, but decidedly bland.
