Little Critters Brewing Co.
Microbrewery in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England 🏴
Established in 2016
Late 2015 we found a unit in the Kelham area where we knew the water was good and immediately felt at home. Cold Room built, drainage plinth sorted, Dave Porter supplied and fitted the kit – we started our adventures in brewing beer.
As per plan within a short period of time we took on an experienced brewer. This was followed by us taking on a full time sales and delivery person. We’ve continued to grow the business with new processes, new kit, more people, new recipes and now have a stable 10BBL plant with a great team.
With great folk working for us at the brewery we continue to learn everyday. We’re passionate about making beer and try to retain the home brew spirit of experimentation and fun. We really appreciate the feedback we’re getting from our growing customer base and looking forward to a return to growth over 2021.

Cask at Weavers, Stourbridge. Pours very dark brown with a small head. Aroma is light coffee cake. Taste has coffee cake and walnut touches.
Cask at the Strugglers Inn, Lincoln. Pale golden colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are tangerine fruity citrus, slight sweet. Light body.

Christmas Eve Beers #6. Clear golden good-looking brew. Solid enough IPA with a good body but soft enough to allow plenty of hoppiness through. This is dominant with a mild exotic fruitiness in the background.

Christmas Eve Beers #1. Seasonal stout starter through suitably stated chocolate orange in taste, with a more regular example of the fruit on aroma. Near black appearance without much on top

The Christmas beers' are in full flow now, this one a hoppy enough golden style ale, which is befitting enough for the brew's name, a red ale might have been better. Nevertheless it's a solid enough mildly sweetened beer that could be made sessionable.

Hand pulled half pint at the Station Hotel, Oakengates on 8th December 2025, with Bertie, Margie, Auntie Sue, Ant and Maureen. Golden pour, white crown. Citrus fruit aroma and taste, leaning towards semi sweet tropical flavours rather than grapefruit and lemon issues. Liked it.

Deep dark brown, near black with a small bubbly tan head and a coffee malt aroma. Light bodied, fresh dark fruits, a touch of chocolate, roasted malt, some nuttiness and a dry, slightly bitter finish.
