A hazed dark pink ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with loads of strawberry and vanilla, light acidity, pleasant. In mouth, sweet fruity malt with strawberry and vanilla, light acidity, light Epsom salts, very nice.

(473ml can - now brewed at Brasserie Générale - from Superette, Quebec City) Pours murky dullish pink-red with a small whitish head and a little lace. Aroma is fresh almost peppery strawberries, touch of jam/preserve vibe, raspberries in the background, soft citrus and grassy hops and a little creamy vanilla accent though not heavy 'ice cream'. Flavour is moderately sweet and very lightly tart, crushed strawberries and a little preserve again, raspberry background, phenolic pips but not too plastic-heavy, citrus peels and grass, very subtle vanilla, drying lightly tart lactic citrus and berry finish with moderate bitterness from hop resins and berry pips. Lingering berry aftertaste plus some phenols. Light to medium bodied, smooth carb, almost creamy. Nice refreshing fruited IPA, not overly sour but that worked for me on a hot day.

(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours near-opaque deep gold with a thick white head and lots of lace. Aroma of Orange Crush soda and candied oranges, ample dank slightly catty cannabis, soft citrus peel bitterness, leafy freshness, touch of sweet tropical juice. Flavour is drier than the nose suggests, lightly to moderately sweet for style, lots of orange flesh and peel, some candied citrus, smooth bready malt, a decent whack of dank cannabis, some leafy/grassy notes but no hop burn, smooth drying aromatic citrus peel finish with lots of 'orange bitters' without the bitterness, which is quite low. Maybe a touch of chalk but not overly crisp. Medium body, smooth creamy carbonation. Excellent brewing, well-balanced and extremely drinkable expression of Citra here. I'll definitely have another.

(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours opaque bright yellow with a thick white head and lace. Aroma of pineapple, white grape, yellow mango, tangerine, grass, slight hint of dank. Flavour of white grape, creamy mostly-ripe mango, tangerine, a hint of pineapple, lots of fresh leafy quality, creamy oat-laden malt, smooth florals; moderately sweet up front with a decent juiciness, drying into the finish, just a hint powdery from oat and wheat vibes, clean yeast fruitiness, very low bitterness. Medium-bodied but exceptionally creamy with soft carbonation. Drinks a bit more like a single than a DIPA but it’s smooth and enjoyable.

(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours opaque medium gold with an average but stable white head and lots of spotty lace. Notes of tropical red fruit, sweet orange, mango, grapefruit peels, some light dank resins, sweetish bready malt, finishing off-dry with moderate grapefruit peel and floral bitters. Medium-full creamy body with soft filling carbonation. A really nice brew, maybe a little more bitter on the finish than I was expecting but less so than the usual Emporium IPAs, and with good hop saturation and mouthfeel. Hope to see more EXP IPAs out there!

(355ml bottle from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours somehwat hazy orange with a loose whtie head that fades a bit with some lace. Aroma of lime powder candy, citrus peels, vanilla, soft lactose sweetness, a little tangy citrus acidity, malt peeking through. Flavour is lightly sweet and very slightly tart up front, with lots of vanilla, moderate lime flexh, some citrus peels, white grapes, kind of chalky lactose vibe, quite dry in the middle on but no real bitterness, again a little chalky in the finish, lots of vanilla and some lime. Short aftertaste. Light to medium body, soft but somewhat full carb. I like the idea of lime milkshakes but also feel they need a *lot* of lime to be punchy. Here the vanilla took over the lime and hops a bit.

(355ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours hazy pink lemonade pink with a small rapidly fizzing white head. Aroma has a strong resemblance to pink lemonade with dominant notes of pulpy lemons and limes, clear richness from the confit you don't get with fresh fruit, raspberry is fairly soft and more floral red fruity, overtones of juicy hops, sweet-tart with crisp saline minerality. Flavour is a bunch lighter than the nose, quite crisp, dry and and saline mineral with light citric acidity. Lemon-lime soda vibe, less citrus depth than the nose, floral berry notes, soft hops, a little more lemonade pulp and berry bite towards the finish which is quite dry, low bitterness with a little cereal. Light bodied with fizzing carbonation. Interesting experiment, I like the nose but the flavour is a little too Italian soda like for me.
