Description
Gilles Roy has childhood memories rooted in beer culture. His grandfather ran the largest brewery in Dunkirk, where he is from.

After a career as a formulator in cosmetic products that took him to La Gacilly (Morbihan), then as a quality manager, he set himself a new challenge. At 40, he wanted to become a brewer. He then looked for the best "formulas" for his beers and did it with passion.

His wife Sophie followed him in his project. She takes care of the commercial aspect of the brewery, which started production in 2017. She also runs the boutique-tasting area, La Brasserie de Lulu, in La Gacilly, where she was joined by their eldest son.

With the emphasis on quality, success is there and the need to expand is essential. It was in Malestroit that they found their new production site in 2020.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#62. DOL DE BRETAGNE. Hazy light golden colour. Easy blonde style with some enjoyable sugars and fruits in both aroma and taste. Found at Le Stuart after exploring the town with a decent amount of time changing between trains.
