Thoroughly decent blonde ale. Smooth, with a nice bit of bitter citrus in the finish.

Third beer at the much busier Day Two of the Pendle Beer Festival 2025. The Amarillo hop is very prevalent in this bitter.

Keg @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Hazy orange colour with a thin head. Sweet tropical fruity in the main, some citric bitterness to finish but still a sweet aftertaste. Hides its strength well.

Cask @ The Railway, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a creamy head. Hoppy effort, easy, sessionable, good depth for its strength. The hops were not marked in the pump clip but this is the correct beer, so this is almost certainly the default pale ale brew for the brewery.

Cask at Lych Gate, Wolverhampton. Pours very dark reddish-brown with a medium sized foamy cream head and good lacing. There’s an aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and hints of alcoholic strength. Pretty much the same in the mouth as well though there it is sweet with a creamy cakey texture. There’s a lttle bitterness in the boozy finish. This is decent, but there isn’t much evidence of stout characteristics. Bit of a gimmick.
