Description
Small Change Brewing Company is the husband-and-wife team of Mike Patterson and Emily Vides. It evolved out of a decade of home brewing, a few jobs at Boston-area breweries, and a love of all things beer and brewing. We don't make a lot of beer, and we don't have our own brewery, but by staying small and sharing space with other local brewers, we're able to focus on making the beer that we want to when we want to. It's our mission to bring you fresh, flavorful beer of the highest quality

Reviewed from notes.
Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark mahogany to medium dark brown color with a two finger eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark chocolate, light earthy tones, subtle honey, light herbal whiffs, toasted nuts and some caramel/toffee malts.
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas together in a semi-sweet to light bitter and slightly toasty sort of way; finishes semi-earthy and chocolatey
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; good smoothness along the tongue with some light earthy nicks along the way down
Overall: I say a nicely done English dark mild worthy of coming back to. Pass the fish n' chips!

Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: copper color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: citrusy to piney to semi-tropical fruity hops with a nice light clean caramel/toffee malt backbone
Flavor: wraps up the prior noted aromas to a fine bittersweet West coast sort of quality; finishes semi-citrusy with some piney hops and the malts
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness to this in a West coast sort of style.
Overall: judging by the label, I thought this would have been like an "Indiana - styled IPA" (not that those exist) but hey "don't shoot your eye out with this one." And now I want to watch "A Christmas Story" with this beer.

Almost 4 years since someone rated. While moving into my new home enjoyed 4 pack. Cold crisp autumn day and moving stuff around paired nicely with this low abv toasty beverage. Tatses of toast, caramel, malt, some rootbeer. Nice mild creamy texture.

I feel like new oktoberfests rates may be hard to come by now that I’ve lived here for several seasons. Or May I’m wrong. Copper pour some cherry notes and minimal head. Nose is caramel and cherry. Tastes of tea, caramel, malt, cherry, bread. Dry finish.
