Single from the Hot Spot. Pint glass at home.
Hazy pale straw pour, zero head.
Odd vanilla & simple syrup nose.
Very sweet, lightly floral, white sugar, 7UP, fortified crap cider.
Spritzy soda, lingering ginger soda acid.
Inoffensive. This is a terrible try at cider.

Draft taster at Stone Path Malt. No, they're not one of the malt customers, but a cider on tap can be welcome. Cloudy straw color, sparkling carbonation. Light apple juice nose, slight edge of alcohol there, too. Taste is light, a watered apple liquor rather than an apple juice. Plenty of bubbles. I also get some sea salt on the palate too, but it sits very well.

Can, undated, though Total Wines had a 9/4/24 label. Drunk 9/10/24. This probably wasn't my best bet as an introduction to High Limb, but I'm only human, so I too am wowed by pumpkin beverages and had to buy it. Hazy, pale blonde. Fizzy. Smells pretty reasonable. Pumpkin, apple cider, light vanilla, even lighter spice. The fact that you can smell the gourds and the apples is great. It's not sweet or brown sugary. Not boozey. Sweeter in flavor, albeit not ridiculously so. Brown sugar is notable, alongside fruit and vegetable sugars. Soft vanilla and tasteful spice. Are beer geeks going to love this? Obviously not, but someone put some thought in to this and it's not just a shitty, sweet, flabby cider with over-spiced, over-sugared adjunct. The cider, which even has a light lactic edge, comes through strongly on the finish. If you can respect Heart of Darkness, you can respect this.

Tap @ High Limb. Hazed golden yellow appearance. Vibrant aroma with honey and maple coming through well. Quite rich to taste with distinctive maple notes and assorted honey and sap resin shades. Pokey twiggy bitterness. Interesting, but not sure I could manage a full pint of it.

Tap @ High Limb. Misty pale yellow appearance. Nicely dry with a good breezy acidity.. white wine moments.. no cranberries or orange peel coming through, but a decent medium dry overall.

Tap @ High Limb. Misty golden yellow complexion. Soft red fruit shades on the nose. Taste presents defined natural rhubarb, complimented by a gentle strawberry sweetness.. medium to light bodied, soft carbonation. Decent.

Tap @ High Limb. Misty pale golden yellow appearance. Zesty lemon and soft sweet apple aroma. Comes almost like a gose-cider-lemonade hybrid. The saltiness works alongside the bright lemon with a crisp, mild apple sweetness undercurrent. Works really well.

Tap @ High Limb Cider. Clear gold appearance. Floral botanicals on the nose alongside medium apple fruit. Quite a flavoursome profile with a floral gin sweetness, floral bitterness, light grapefruit hints with a rich, sweet apple fruit body. Oily palate, moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Tap @ High Limb Cider. Pours pale yellow with a fine mist. Comes across distinctly sweet, not necessarily honey coming through, and not presenting any saison characteristics in terms of body or flavour profile.. just very sticky sweet with an oily palate. Fine for a sweet cider.
