Brightside Brewing Co.
Microbrewery in Manchester, Greater Manchester, England 🏴
Established in 2009
We started trial brewing on a home brew kit back in early 2009 when the country was in the depths of the recession, which is partly how the name Brightside arose. That and the fact that we also like The Killers!
These days we’re an established name in Manchester, with a reputation for quality consistency and service. Our beers can be found in many of the free of tie pubs and bars in the city, out towards Crewe and Chester in the South, through the Wirral, and up to Preston in the North (in fact, across much of the UK by way of swapped casks with partner breweries and wholesalers).

Keg @ D'Ale House, Rochdale. Golden with a head. Strong hoppy, good but not one to order too much of.

Cask at Calverts Court, Stockport. Pours golden yellow with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is basically floral hops, and these are to the fore in the mouth as well. There’s plenty of citrus, oranges and melon plus hints of grapefruit. Gets more bitter as it goes on, leading to a somewhat dry finish. Its reasonable.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A straw coloured pour with a thin white head; citrus aroma; sharp pithy citrus taste to start then a sweet orangey body; then a dry finish with some grapefruit zest. Crisp and fresh.

Cask at Calverts Court, Stockport. Pours golden yellow with minimal off-white head. Aroma is mainly summer fruits. In the mouth it starts off slightly sweet with floral hops and berry fruits plus hints of grains. It gradually becomes more bitter with marmalade to the fore. Finish is slightly sticky. Nothing special.
