Tall pour at Capital Ale House Harrisonburg. Dark, cloudy, light beige creamy head. Aroma is nutty with a light sweetness. Taste introduces a light sweet up nutty flavor with notes of brown sugar. Kind of dry but extremely tasty.

Very clear golden and light peach coloured body with a thin, non-existent head, but that's probably because the top of the can popped and exploded! Aroma of light apples, a dash of pears and some spices, but more of a malty, biscuity and slightly yeastie scent, all very mild and subdued. Light-bodied; Crisp grassy and herbal notes show at first with a lot of dry grassy and herbal notes and a hint of yeast with the biscuity and grainy malt here as well of course with no real hop notes and no bitterness either. Aftertaste shows some flowers and much more of the apples, pears, spices and light caramel and caster sugar here with not much else and no pungency at all, which is nice. Overall, a very crisp and easy-drinking beer with some fruit notes perhaps more than the crisp, biscuity and yeastie notes that you might expect more. I sampled this sixteen ounce pint-sized can purchased from the Big Meadows Lodge in Shenandoah National Park on 19-June-2022 for US$2,79 sampled at my house here in Washington on 15-September-2022 before seeing Enter Shikari here in Washington at the Union Stage.

Can from the local Food Dog, drunk in Palmyra at the end of a good family day, meeting cousins for the first time in a decade. Note, mine seems to be Roasted Pecan and not Toasted. Pretty high carb, slight can foam over. Definitely a roasted nutty nose with molasses notes. The flavor is toffee malty sweetness, nice nutty notes, but I would have otherwise chalked that up to the malt if not for the name. Mild bitterness. Nice English Brown!
