From tap at Brazen Head, Dublin, 22.03.25. Dark orange amber. Fairly persistent off-white head and lacing. Aroma and taste of medium roasted sweet malt, brittle, slightly harsh caramels, roasted nuts and sap. Off mouthfeel. Perhaps it’s been served with nitro.

Poured up on tap at Tipsy Cactus where it exhibits a mildly hazy golden colored body that supports a regenerative near white head of foam. The mild aroma offers up grapefruit, citrus pith, tangelo and then a bit of berry like notes. The taste delivers smooth to growing citrus hop bitterness that ranges from bitter grapefruit and grapefruit pith to tangy slightly under ripe tangelo. To midway it picks up various berry like fruitiness running up against the citrus hop bitterness. It ends fairly dry with a sense of the malt base and lingering bitter to almost tart grapefruit pith. Fun one.

Bottle at home(ish) from a supermarket. Nose and taste are nice mocha, a decent caramel backbone behind it, a hint of smoke on top, dark chocolate. Fairly complex, nicely rounded, fun to drink. In all honesty I didnt expect this to be this good
