Description
Gage Roads is the strip of ocean that separates Rottnest Island and Fremantle in Western Australia. It’s a home to surfers and swimmers; seagulls and sharks; ships and sailors. It’s a place where you can relax, escape, explore, or seek out adventure. We saw a lot of ourselves in that little spot. That’s why we named our brewery after it.

We set up shop in an old margarine factory just outside Freo over 14 years ago and we’ve been crafting beer there ever since. We make a range of ales and lagers, all of which are inspired by our place here on the WA coast.

Can. Opaque yellowish orange with a cm of white head. Aroma mango, mandarin, pineapple, chewed crackers. So it tastes - just doesn't really go anywhere. No particular finish.

Does exactly what it should. Light and easy with clear tart pomegranate and guava notes. Refreshing tropical fruit.

A fruity black IPA with aromas of chocolate, caramel, lemon, raisins and bread. It has a tangy mouthfeel with a blunt grapefruit taste and a smoky note that gives it more of the drier black IPA flavour that I expected. It's almost like two different beers so I don't quite know how to rate it, but, especially for the price (six bucks for a 500ml can), I'd go again.

Pours hazy gold with a large lasting head.Nose shows mango, peach, apricot, and clean malt.Flavours include more apricot, some pineapple, a bit of soft pine and herbal hops, soft cookie dough-like malt, and a gentle bitterness. Really well put together.
