Medium body with light notes of caramel and corn - perhaps even a little sweet fruit. No real bitterness. Classic NZ swill that quenches your thirst without insulting anybody. 110208

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, golden with a dense, white head leaving some laces. Classic and lovely Steinlager aroma from the hops. Medium body with a very soft mouthfeel. Sweet notes of malt, brewing cereal and then....nothing. Absolutely nothing. Lion has managed to hide the hops completely leaving not a grain of bitterness. A classic and very drinkable Pale Lager. A NZ micro brewer told me that "Pure" was born because Lion simply couldn’t copy the real Steinlager in their new plant, so they had to come up with a new name. 050208

Light-bodied, high in carbonation, a little malt and some nuttiness. The finish is dry. For a macro this ain’t too bad. Not even sure that it should be classified as a Pale Lager. 290108
