Bottled (BB 04/2006)
Yellow, small white head. Sticky aroma, harsh - maybe from malts. Starts watery, in the middle nice flowery hoppy flavor. Clean, well-made lager with some extra hoppyness to make it over the many other standard lagers.

Bottle. Light grassy malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Flavor matches aroma - light grassy malt with mild hops finish. Light and smooth. Not a spectacular tasting beer but I like it.

330 ml bottle, London. Pale golden sparkling beer, poor head. Moderate hops and grass in the aroma. A tolerable amount of hops in the flavour makes this beer A LITTLE better than the average swill lager. Won’t buy again, though. I you want a good NZ lager, look for Emersons in stead!

Blonde coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of malt and some miniscule hops. Light to Medium-bodied; Clean and bubbly mouthful with the standard light lager flavour. Aftertaste clean and refined. Overall, not the worst beer I could imagine, but definitely not the best. I sampled this on draught in Melbourne, Australia.

An amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel as well as malt, while the body is thin.

Bottle - some Kiwi girls I knew in CA got all excited when they got a couple of cases of this. Have to say it is a very nice beer. Nice hop aroma - clean crisp and nice hops/malt flavor. And I can tell you that I couldn’t even come close to keeping up with them - a nice strong breed of women they were who earned my respect.

Bottle: Poured a golden colored beer with a standard head with no retention. Aroma is a mix of malts and skunk which doesn’t start too well. Taste is again dominated by that skunk taste (damn! People should know that green bottle are not made for imported beer) with a little bit of hops. Overall, this is another garbage macro lager. Won’t be seeking this again anytime soon.

Fully clear straw; slim, dense white head, reasonably lacey. Nose of chaff, some grain. Yes, this is probably what is called "crisp". Bit like fluid watered cornflake essence. And that's all there is. Restsugars leave tangible sticky impression - not nice. I had exactly the same motivation as another rater below; after unlikely countries as Tunesia, Albania, Laos and the Fiji Isles, I wanted finally to include NZL. Don't tell me this is what Elijah Wood and his hobbits were drinking at the Prancing Pony...

Light straw color, no head. Beer can't get much skunkier than my sampling. But hey, green bottle. Total skunk in aroma and flavor. Light grassiness apparent, then empty finish. Pretty light stuff.
