Can at PV with Gurthnar. Almost fully black, greyish-tan head, going away relatively fast. Enormous cocoa, Kraš Ekspres aroma, some figs as well. Lean, dry taste, heaps of cocoa that itself creates some dried fruit touches, bit sticky and powdery at the same time, ending dry, with some cocoa bitterness. Fun but am I enjoying it too much? Not really, no, the cocoa doesn't get anything to balance it with, it hits without backup. Nah, not my thing.

Can at Poctivej vycep. Medium body, medium carbo. Lots of cocoa, also lots of coffee with its dryness. Overall rather dry, seems well attenuated, cocoa in its rather bitter form here, not sweet. Also moderate nuttiness and light caramel. Overall rich, dark-centered piece, rather bitter with low sweetness and lack of fruitiness, which is an interesting choice in a porter. Good beer though, drinkable, even if not great.

Bottle, koszi Panni! Pours jet black with beige head that doesnt last long. Nose is big coffee, vanilla and whiskey. Taste is nicely rounded, showing notes of booze, faint earthy notes, some low fruity touch, vanilla and closing with a long lasting sweet boozy whiskey-y and coffee finish. Light to medium body, soft carbo, pretty easy to drink, kinda like a session-impy. Not overcomplex, but everything’s in the right place and the balance is pretty neat.

Bottle at home, koszi Panni! Pours pours copper, thin head. Nose is heavy on the barrels, there’s the vineous, grape-like sherry notes and an uderlying sweet boozyness, and there’s the malty, nutty notes of the base beer. Taste is sweet booze, nuts, raisins, a touch of smoke and the barrels again, fruity sherry and the whisky too. Closes with long rich and sweet boozy finish, has medium to heavy body, and soft carbonation. Tbh I did not expect this to be this good, quelle surprise.

Taster at KEG. Copper pour, off white head. Nose is light caramel and dark sugar, bready malts, biscuits, citrus zest, resin and faint fruity notes. Taste is initially sweet, bready, carmely and then there are the hops: citric, zesty, grassy and piney. Closes with a moderately dry finish, has a light to medium body and average carbonation.

# 4562; 3/2025.Malty, herbal, woody, slightly vanilla aroma. Murky gold body; persistent lacing off-white head. Herbal, zesty, vanilla, malty, light sugar. Medium body; medium carbonation, worse drinkability. Not the best bohemian pilsner, still good. 0,7 l, bottle, craft-beer pub (KMP), Pilsen (Bohemia, CZ).

Can at Pivni zastavka. Rather thin body, medium carbonation. Medium sweetness, med-light bitterness. Med-light caramel, feels lightly oxidated. Medium anise-like, gooseberry, light medicinal, cough syrup, herbal character. Does not feel DDH, not bad, but not great either. Weirdly average.
