From a 500ml bottle on 30/6/2013 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a clear deep golden with a medium head. Has a big fruity, hoppy aroma, with citrus and pine notes. Has light caramel malt background, lots of citrus fruit (heaps of mandarin), and an assertive, lingering resiny bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. If this is an APA, I’m the Pope. Comes across as a very enjoyable American style IPA. Very nice.

[6/13]Bottle. Clear gold with a white head that’s soon less than a coat. Aroma of nectarines, mandarins, passionfruit, lychees, grapefruit, biscuit. Lowish carbonation is about right for me but reveals a less than vibrant palate. Very fruity, but not so sweet that it seems fruit salady. Light biscuit. Enough bitterness to match the sweetness, some pine and pepper at the end. [3.5] 330ml bottle, bb 4/11/16. Bought on the basis that perhaps the last one wasn’t all that fresh. But apart from the head being a tad better retained, much the same. A good beer, but not the standout for me that it seems it is for others.
