First beers seen from the Y Bragdy Mws Piws / Purple Moose Brewery were at Worcester Beer Festival in August 2002. They were brewed at Moor. The brewery first brewed 14th June 2005 following the acquisition of a new site and a 10BBL plant formerly in use at Harviestoun. Expanded again in 2013 to a 40BBL plant.

Bottle from the Purple Moose Brewery Shop, Porthmadog. Yellow-blonde with a thinnish head. Has a light bubble-gum styled sweetness that is more pronounced in its nose than taste, but not much else to see here.

Half pour (cask) at the Briar Rose. Medium amberwith small creamy head. Malty, brown bread aroma. Tadte is more of the malts, ceteal, and super smooth.

500ml bottle. Pours cola brown with a medium head. Aroma is cola, cocoa and roast. Taste is watery cola and yeasty roast. Dusty cocoa finish.

Cask at Gloucester Beer Festival. Clear golden with a thin white head. Aroma of elderflowers, light citrus. Taste of light citrus, lemon, zest, floral elderflower, light malts, moderate bitterness. Light bodied, soft carb. Ok.

Cask at the Y Garth bar, Pennal. Pours dark orange brown with a medium head. Aroma is bready caramel. Taste is bready with some fruit. Serviceable.

Bottle 330ml. @ [ Højbjerg Tasting ] - Saxo House, Højbjerg - Aarhus, Denmark. [ As Purple Moose Mŵsh ].Clear medium yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, fruity malt, pale malt. Flavor is light moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, fruity malt, borring, sulphur notes. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft to light flat. Cask at White Star. Pours a clear yellow with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has straw and slightly sweet grains supported by biscuit and grass. Flavor has straw and biscuit with some grass underlying.
