Cask @ Whitchurch Food & Drink Festival June 14. Pours deep gold, was expecting some bright citrussy New Zealand hops but got nothing of the sort. Much closer to a British best bitter, very smooth and a touch sweet. Pleasant enough.

Cask (Bridge Tavern, Newcastle) - Golden in colour. Elderflower, lemon and biscuity malt in the aroma. Elderflower and biscuity malt are in the taste. Not bad, but I love beers elderflower in it and I was hoping for a bit more from this one.

Cask @ Cob and Pen, Rhyl [230314]
Dark caramel, clear, dense thick white head, good lacing
Aroma of caramel, some soft roasted malts, light dark fruits
Taste of caramel, toffee, soft dark fruits, slight flinty note that doesn’t work here
Palate - Medium body, creamy texture, quite sweet. Finish is a bit dry, has that mineraly edge i’m not keen on
