First beers seen from the Y Bragdy Mws Piws / Purple Moose Brewery were at Worcester Beer Festival in August 2002. They were brewed at Moor. The brewery first brewed 14th June 2005 following the acquisition of a new site and a 10BBL plant formerly in use at Harviestoun. Expanded again in 2013 to a 40BBL plant.

Golden with a lasting white head. Grassy hop aroma. Dry and malty flavour with grassy hops.

Bottle. Pours a brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty caramel aroma. Roasted malty caramel and chocolate flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a roasted malty caramel finish. with some hints of chocolate in te aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a pale amber color with a small white head. Has a malty earthy hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a sweetish fruity earthy hoppy finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty slightly yeasty aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweetish fruity malty and slightly yeasty flavor with hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Golden with a soft cream head; clean citrus aroma; fruity orange malt flavours; deep grapefruit bitterness to finish. An excellent, full flavoured, summer beer.

Cask gravity at 1st K&ES Railway BF 2009. Gold/copper colour with lasting beige head. Good condition. Somme toffee, some hedgerow hop. Very hedgerow-y herby hop. Some blackcurrant. Really herby Yes herby blackcurrant, I guessed at Willamette hops, but it could be the Lubelski. Decent

50cl bottle from Utobeer, Borough Market. Hazy straw with a thin white head; aroma of blackberries and damsons; light citrus flavours with a touch of honey and some sharp short-lasting hops leaving a butterscotch finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a rough off-white head. Fruity and lightly citrusy nose. Light body, a little flat with fresh citrusy accents. Lightly bitter finish. 070209

Cask gravity at Battersea BF 09. Slightly hazy copper, lasting beige head. Tea, bitter. But I like it. Excellent understated good drinking bitter. Good proper bitterness on end. Really good.
