500ml bottle. Hops really play a background role. The malt sits on top showing caramel, chocolate and stewed apples. Moderate amount of bittlerness. Definetley a step up for a British bitter.

Small white head. Brown body. Fruity malty strawberry aroma, very light and fresh. Dryish light delicate fruity floral citric strawberry taste with malty tea notes. Aftertaste is the same. Very nice! (0.5l bottle from KnutAlbert.)

Cask at GBBF 2007. A copper colored beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and a slight touch of hops, while the flavor is plainly sweet malty with notes of caramel.

Bottle. A bit unclear, copper-like pour, with a small, off-white head-like foam on top. The nose started a bit cardboard-like, with some caramel and malt. Mostly caramel in the flavor, but the cardboard-like thing is present here as well. Thin, quite watery body, and a pleasant hoppiness in the finish. It’s quaffable, but the cardboard thing ruins the experience a bit. (071005)

Cask at The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury, Salop, 19-10-07 Poured light golden with a dusty aroma. A citrus rush initially leading to a fruity, juicy and refreshing beer that had a nice bitter and dry bite.

Cask at the The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury, Salop, 19-10-07 Poured deep dark brown with a red hue and a thin white head. Malty and fruity aroma. The taste had a nice deep bitter maltiness about it but it was quite loose and allowed a level of citrussy hops to squeeze through, this was an unashamedly bitter and fruity beer that on the label had said that it’d one a medal at SIBA awards in the Mild and Old Ale category, I don’t think it was either of them nor did I feel that it was a porter, to me this was a bitter, whatever it is, it was very nice.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yngwie. Slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Somewhat fat, nutty aroma. Fairly light-bodied with a little roasted malt, nutty accents and a vaguely burned edge. Lightly bitter finish. Quite decent. 051007

50 cL bottle, thanks to yngwie for trading this and putting it on Papsøs table. Pours hazy orange with a lacing light orange head. Sweet malty a bit of fruity hops in the aroma. Starts caramel malty, not as sweet as expected. Reveals some fruityness that goes into a rather herbal bitterness in the finish. Somewhat strange and undefineable.
