Bottle shared in Watford - picked up from Pigs Ear. Pours deep brown with a small, creamy tan head. Medium sweet with nice meaty dark malts, dark cocoa, roast, earth. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more chewy dark malts, a little ash, earth. Solid.

Bottle shared at the watford Christmas tasting 10/12/2021. A jet black brown coloured pour with a a halo of tan head. Aroma is woody wax, play dough, brown sugars. Flavour is composed of oily, brown sugars, pencil shavings, waxy, brown brown sugars. Oily. Palate is semi sweet, grass. Meh. Not good.

Aroma is meaty roast, liquorice, Ash,, treacle. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, meaty roast, rusty, treacle, liquorice, black roast,. Meaty. Palate is semi sweet, oily, thick, tang, moderate carbonation.

Bottle from Vine And Grain. Appearance - golden amber and lightly hazy. Creamy off white head. Nose - light toffee, bread apricot and red fruits. Taste - apricot and light caramel. Bready. Palate - close to medium bodied. Creamy texture. The finish could be a bit cleaner. Overall - OK but not on style.
