(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 11 Apr 2014) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of peaches, tropical fruit and grassy hops. Fruity, malty taste with citrus, tropical fruit, peaches, a touch of honey and a fresh grassy/floral bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and very drinkable. Nice one.

Cask at the Northbrook, Lee. Amber pour with a white head. Aromas of pineapple, mango.. lots of fruit in there. Flavours of sweet citrus, pineapple and tropical fruit. The finish is a good, healthy long fruit linger. Good stuff.

Fra fat på pub i Greenwich: litt uklar og nesten uten karbonering. Tydelig humlet men allikevel uinteressant. Metallisk avslutning. Hadde kanskje smakt litt friskere ved noe lavere serveringstemperatur. Drakk ikke opp halvpinten.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Utobeer. Pours rich, clear dark brown with a large, frothy latte head. The aroma holds lots of dry, well roasted malts, a good bit of ash, some coffee grounds. Medium sweet flavor with a bit of bittersweet chocolate, burnt leaves, light alcohol, some cherry liqueur, charred wood and grass, some chalky baking cocoa. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Finishes with lingering, heavily roasted malts, some stony dryness, more torched earth, wood, some dried and lightly leathery dark fruits and lasting bitter dark chocolate. Pretty well done overall. Some overall hard water minerality. Decent depth. Fairly drinkable for the ABV. Nicely done.

Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Light copper colour. Filmy, lasting, white head. Not much aroma to this, maybe some grassy, wet hop. Bit earthy, really. Taste is malty sweetness, with a welcome pithy bitterness, that lingers. Light carbonation, and that bitter finish made this a beer I could imagine doing a session on, no problem. Was top dollar, though, even from Dave.

Cask gravity at The brewery. Aroma is nice earthy berry. Lemon and nutty malt. Dark orange colour with a loose white head. Flavour is spicy earthy hop with touch of citrus. Nutty malt palate is medium with low caramel sweetness. Lowish carbonation. Good balance in this beer make it fairly Sessionable. Lingering earthy lemon bitterness.
