Friday afternoon, 17th January 2025. Hand pulled half-pint during a pub crawl around Skipton, third bar (Early Doors). Black with a tan coloured crust. Sweet throughout with a chocolate base, some subtle bitterness but didn't get any smokiness, some coffee notes from the malts, but no fire or ashes.

Cask @ Fox And Goose, Hebden Bridge. Deeper clear golden with a creamy-frothy head. Mildly sweet, some metallic tasting malts - fairly flavoursome golden style ale.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours a golden amber with a small off-white head and good lacing. Malts are the mainstay of the aroma, with hints of dried fruits and citrus. In the mouth it slightly sweet wit traditional hops, raisins and traces of lemon. Later on there are hints of butter, biscuits and spice. A little bitterness in the finish. This is decent – but more of a standard bitter than a golden ale.
