Rochdale Easter Ale Trail 2026, Beer#8. Someone completed all 10 venues as I drank this clear deeper golden ale, and won a T-shirt. This hoppy ale with a good body for its lower strength is just my venue four, so I'm not optimistic about my chances! Nevertheless this is an enjoyable enough session pour.

Rochdale Easter Ale Trail 2026, Beer#7. Hoppy ale as anyone might expect, at a session strength. A little on the blander side of things, but nothing wrong with this clear golden beer. Found at the Lucky Duck in the town.

Cask at Old Vic, Preston. Pours golden yellow with a small foamy almost white head and good lacing. There’s malts and dried fruit in the aroma plus some hints of butter. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy but with a little underlying bitterness. There’s lemongrass and malts in the flavour with traces of spice and caramel coming later. Finish is slightly dry. This is distinctly reasonable – and a grower.

Fra cask på Mossy Well: lett uklar kobbergylden med fint skum som varer. Mykt og vennlig anslag med krydderurter, gress og noe lett floralt. Mild bitterhet og god maltsmak. En deilig cask ale, og en god start på oppholdet.
