Halifax Beer Festival 2023. Very dark brown in colour. Has a soft tasting texture, but still with enough depth to be a worthwhile porter in style. Barrel Aged version.

Handpulcask at the Hop, Wakefield. Dark brown with a good bit of translucency, and a full tight beige/khaki head. Muted aroma with some chocolate fudge and heavy malt notes. Sweet taste, more orange here but still very secondary to the chocolate. Good hop bitterness in the finish but there's some vegetal flavour in between. It's okay but there are some issues.

Handpull cask at the Luis Bar, Fernandes Brewery, Wakefield. Light amber gold, clear with a full off-white head and generous smooth lacing. Leafy hop, some floral character, green grass, citrus in the aroma. Initial sweet taste turning bitter quickly, full of white grapefruit flavours. Long bitter finish. Oily body, soft carbonation. An intense experience.
