On cask at The Rat & Ratchet, pours a clear dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out gentle cocoa and some earthy notes. Flavour is full of vegetal and cocoa notes, and gentle earthiness. Too vegetal. Meh.

Cask at Ship Aground, Stafford. Pours a solid gold with medium sized white head and good lacing. Thereโs a simple aroma of citrus and tangerine. In the mouth it is sweet with a creamy texture with flavours of malts, floral hops, melon and mango, leading to a bitter finish. This is quite nice and decidedly swiggable.

Cask at the Strugglers Inn, Lincoln. Off black colour with a pale tan head. Aroma and taste are roasted coffee, malty and dry, long dry finish. rich grainy body.

Hand-pulled half-pint at the Station Hotel, Oakengates on 27th May 2023. Mini-haze in the golden body, white cap on top. Citrusy and piney nose, fruity taste.
