Sour, funky, I don't know what they call this style, but calling it a straight up dry Hopped Lager is not accurate. Funky, mild sour edges, yeasty and thick...more along the lines of a Belgian Ale than a lager. Unique I suppose, drinks rather full for the ABV.

Tap at sir james pub. What looks to be filtered amber brown body. Sweet and full bodied, lots of depth. Sweet brown sugar, toffee. Really solid, lacks the belgian carbonation, but really has a great flavor.

Tap at Old Fashioned. Appearance is solid, filtered yellow-tan. Foamy white head. Really nice noble hop tone. The yeast has a pinch of Gathering Place uniqueness, but it works. Zesty hop tone, clean doughy malt. Very drinkable. Lots of character.

Pint at Old Fashioned. Big and floral. Heavy, truly drinks like a triple IPA. Solid overall, with some bitterness that makes me think old school hops, but I guess not. OK. Pleasantly different than the norm in 2019.

Tap at Gathering Place. Really delicious, clean Saison. Way more finesse and delicate tones than typical US fare. Lemon-lime, great yeast tone. Really shows skill. Excellent.

Tap at Gathering Place. Probably one my favorite Brut IPAs I have sampled. The barrel really works well, integrates the dry esters. Great balance, they really nailed it with this one. Strawberry fresh hop tones to light white wine, really a lot going on. Unfiltered creamy body. Really solid stuff. Unique fruit tones. Well done.

Tap at Gathering Place. Chalky brown body. Glass lacing off-white head. Thick and rather heavy for the moderate ABV. Caramel, baker's chocolate, gingerbread. A good beer, not the body I had hoped for.

Keg at Sugar Maple, 9/8/18. Hazy orange. Aroma of pine, yeast, banana, caramel. Taste is pine, resin, banana, caramel. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Not bad, but a little odd for a biere de garde.

Sansho peppercorns and Mandarina Bavaria hops..I'm on board. Spicy, zesty, sort of thick, full bodied. Pepper tone is pleasant, works well with the saison yeast. Works well enough. OK.
