Can from Aldi Loco Works. It pours clear reddish - brown with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, sappy, pine, baked goods, brown bread, spice, some fruitiness, jam and candied citrus. The taste is initially dry and toothy, bitter - sweet, pithy, zesty, grapefruit vibes, touch of blood orange, waxy peel, resin, pine, touch jammy, green and a touch of spice with a drying, woody finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Has a fair amount to it, especially considering the abv. Decent.

On keg at the Pitt. Appearance - golden and hazy. Creamy white head. Nose - pineapple, tinned pear and an edge of passion fruit. Taste - ripe pear, passion fruit and papaya. Palate - light to medium bodied, creamy middle and balanced bitterness on the finish. Overall - lovely beer.

Bottle at Lost In Leith. Appearance - golden and fairly clear. Thin white head. Nose - honey, stewed apple and funk. Taste - light funk and honey again, funk and tart at the back. Palate - light bodied, tart but not as persistent as the Pinot version. Overall - decent.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Cork & Cask. Pours lightly unclear orange-gold with a small, foamy white head. Lightly sweet, decent wheat bread character, subtle raspberry, minimal lemon. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Wheaty biscuits to finish, more soft fruity notes. Rather drinkable. Could be a bit sweeter, fruitier. But nice overall.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours clear golden with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of lemon, funk, wood, white wine, sherbet. Taste is more lemon, cider, hay, light acetic. Sour finish. A tad thin.

Can from Aldi Loco Works. It pours darkest brown to black with a decent, lasting tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, creamy, milk chocolate, toasty malt, coffee grounds, tiramisu, vanilla and toasted marshmallow. The taste is initially dry and roasty, some decent bitterness which lingers, but then it sweetens up, vanilla, marshmallow, milk chocolate, wagon wheels, coffee action, toasty and earthy with a dry roasted finish. Average body and moderate, fizzy carbonation. Works pretty well tbh. Was slightly put off by the dessert beer and suggesting more sweetness than it has. Decent.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Nose - wood, almond, hay and green apple. Taste - green apple, light wood and lemon zest. Palate - light bodied, zesty sour middle and finish. Overall - very nice. Not as sour as some of the Belgian examples.
