33cl bottle a year after the best before date. Medium white head. Very hazy amber pour. Still quite bitter. Some biscuit too. Not bad.

Can from The Royal Dick. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of green mango and light caramel. Flavour of orange zest and tinned peach. Medium body with an oily texture. Light fizz. Fruity but less intense and punchy than the best NE IPAs I’ve tasted.

Can at The Royal Dick. Hazy golden body with a thick off-white head. Lively carbonation. Excellent lacing. Aroma of pine and burnt orange. Flavour of bitter hops, grass and pine needles with a long, hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. This is good - it’s bitter and loaded with Chinook hops. Barney have upped their game recently and I look forward to each of their new releases.

Cans from Great Grog in 2018 and Aldi in 2022. Clear pale golden body with a thick white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange, minerals and lemon peel. Flavour of tonic water, green banana and grain. Thin body with a smooth mouthfeel. Light fizz. It’s pleasant but tastes a bit watered-down.

Can thanks to Mhairi. Appearance - deep brown, pruney. Nice slightly off white lacy head. Nose - plenty of raspberries, quite sweet. Just a hint of the rye. It doesn't particularly give any sour aromas. Taste - tonnes more raspberry. the rye is a touch more visible and there is at least a little of the sour going on, though it falls behind being a sour. Palate - close to medium bodied. Creamy and slightly tangy. Could be sourer on the finish. Overall - quite tasty but could be more sour.

Bottle thanks to Mhairi. Appearance - golden amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - caramel shortbread, with a hint of orange/apricot. Taste - more of the same, biscuits dominate any fruitiness from the hops. Palate - close to medium bodied, creamy and crunchy. Overall - I expected the malt to be less dominant relative to the hops. It's ok.
