Pigs Ear. KeyKeg. Hazy amber beer, small cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin malts, a thin sweetness. Esters in the mid. Okay ripe citrus fruits. Light pine and modest hop spice. Light semi dry finish. Inoffensive but a bit stodgy for a modern IPA.

Keg at the brewpub. Aroma is fruity with light sherbert. Hazy-opaque gold. Thin translucent white head recedes to the rim. Light-medium bodied. Fruity. Light resin. A big soggy malt streak. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Bland stuff. Trad take on a modern style.

[On tap at the brewery.] A slightly hazy pale amber pour with a tight white head; sour fruity aroma; tropical fruit taste with a bready body; and a crisp bitter finish. Very different to the weekend juice on which it’s based.
