On tap at the Crown & Trumpet, Broadway. Murky orange colour. Tangy apple, some earthy straw and a little dry, almost bitter apple skin. A bit homebrew scrumpyish, nothing elegant here, but not as challenging to newcomers as the hardcore scrumpies (scrumpys? scrumpi?). Just a reasonable, honest, down-to-earth cider, and none the worse for it.

(Cask at St. Urhos Pub Portteri- ja Stout-päivät 2016) The beer poured deep reddish brown and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had caramel and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were caramell, burnt malts, sweetness, berries and bitterness. Aftertaste had berries and bitterness. A poor dark brew.

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. a glossy dark chestnut colour with a ring of beige head; earthy malt aroma; thin in the mouth with some treacly malts and vanilla; then a dry earthy bitterness with lingering vanilla nad drinking chocolate. Not the best dark ale I’ve come across - too thin and sweet.

BIAG @ The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury shared with my sister-in-law. Pours murky orange. Aroma is mushy fruit. Taste is smooth with light, musty apple fruit. Could do with more bite. Not really floating my boat.
