375ml can from Kootamba Family Hotel bottleshop. Clear golden colour, foamy white head and aroma of apple, booze. Taste is sweet, appley, tangy, sugary, with boozy astringency. Thick mouthfeel, medium carbonation, sweet and drying boozy finish. Quite rough, one for drinking out of a brown paper bag!

Bottle from a Phuket convenience store. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a fizzy, very short-lived white head. The aroma is sweet pear! The flavour is strong sweet, light tart sour with a big fresh pear, dry mineral palate. Medium to light bodied with lively initial carbonation. Not quite the sugar bomb you might expect and fairly drinkable.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks Tom L. As Three Oaks Crisp Pear. Pale yellow. Aroma of pears and rotten eggs-like sulphur. Sweet flavor with pears, somewhat sugary. Not great, but easy-drinking and kinda refreshing.

330ml bottle, 5.0%, from Dan Murphy’s Hurstville. Clear water-like very pale greenish-yellow colour, white foam head that quickly dissipates away and nose of fruity apple, melon. Flavour is sweetish apple, fruity, pineapple, citric, tangy, with grapey white wine notes. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry lightly tannic finish. Quite OK.
