Bottle. Sweet prune and malt aroma - light astringency. Clear ruby brown color with moderate head. Sweet raisin/cherry malt flavor with a light bitter/astringent finish. Nicely blended. Very nice.

Very bad! It’s like effervescent tablet with lemon taste. I waited a bit, if it might be better, but NOT. Some toilet tablets notes are present as well. Congratulations.

500ml flip top bottle. Big, off-white, soapy head. Pretty solid appearance-wise. Creamy, soft body. Refreshingly fresh for an imported bottle. Deep chocolate toffee tones, maybe even a hint of black licorice and coffee way off in the distance. Nails the style. Sweet brown-sugary finish. Delicate and delicious.

Bottle: Golden, lively carbonation, big stable creamy white head, a bit hazy; moderate sweetish-wheaty nose: cloves, yeast, lemons and unfortunately vegetables in the background; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, medium bodied; light tartness in the malty-wheaty finish, followed by a faint hoppy tail. Not bad, but not great.....

Bottle: Pale golden, small firm creamy head; "small" sweetish-grainy nose; soft MF, light bodied, light to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour; light sweeish-grainy finish. Nothing wrong with it, but a bit boring.......

(swing top bottle) Clear, dark brown, almost black coloured hue with a big and beige foamy head. Light-sweet and moderately roasted malty aroma with earthy and crusty notes, accompanied by dark chocolate and shy herbal hops. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dry and earthy roast-malty taste with notes of bread crusts and shy herbal accents; dry and moderately bitter, slightly roasted finish with light hoppy notes and traces of chocolate. All in all a pretty drinkable Bavarian Schwarzbier. 16.IX.09

Drinkable, no wow........

Bottled (thanks Timo A!). Ambery brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel, fruits, mild syruip, some slight acidic notes as well. Flavour is quite much the same. Refreshing, but not that inspiring.
