Bottle picked up from Getränke Degenhart - Markt Grafenau and consumed at new house Manghlam, Innernzell, Bayerisch Wald Sunday 6th August 2023 listening to Peking Lights - Lucifer. We're cooking in the wood oven in the kitchen and cooking Mousakka. Pours sparkling clear gold, looks great, there was a large white head. Nice fruity bite, malty nose but not totally clean, a little bit of honey sweetness, there is a little bite at the finish. Good.

Bottle picked up from Getränke Degenhart - Markt Grafenau and consumed at new house Manghlam, Innernzell, Bayerisch Wald Sunday 6th August 2023 listening to Elkka - DJ Kicks. We've just started up the wood oven in the kitchen and we're going to cook Mousakka tonight. Pours chestnut brown, heading towards clarity but there is a haze. Malty and a little bit woody on the nose. In the mouth it's a caramel driven beer, but with a dark fruit tang, soft mouthfeel. A little bit of a bitter bite, good.

Bottle. Color: Clear pale golden, white head. Aroma: Malty, subtle fruity and hoppy notes. Taste: Malty, fruity and grainy notes, decent hoppy backbone. Moderate to over moderate sweet, light to moderate grassy hopbitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Ok.

Bottle. Color: Hazy dark amber, off-white dense head. Aroma: Banana, yeasty, wheat. Taste: Very smooth mouthfeel, a lot of banana, yeasty, wheat malt, caramel notes. Over moderate sweet, very light bitterness. Just over medium body, below average carbonation.

Bottle. As Innstadt Weizen, 5.5%. Presuming this is a new label for the same beer. Color: Hazy golden to orange amber, white head. Aroma: Wheat malt, yeasty and banana notes. Taste: Wheat malt, yeasty and banana notes. Moderate sweet, very light bitterness. Very smooth. Medium to just over medium body, below average carbonation. Ok.

Bottle. Color: Clear copper, light brown head. Aroma: Lightly roasted malt, caramel. Taste: Malty, roasted malt, caramel notes, hints of coffee. Grassy / floral hop backbone. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Moderate to over moderate sweet, light bitterness. Ok Schwarzes.

Bottle. Never heard of Russ and Chabeso before and I thought it was a 100% beer when I bought it in a Bavarian supermarket. After that I found out that Chabeso is a traditional German lemonade based on lactic acid and Russ means that it's a traditional Bavarian beer mix with (50%) Weizen and (50%) lemonade. Making it a kind of (traditional) Radler. That also explains the old-fashioned label on the bottle. Well, let's try... Color: Lightly hazy pale golden, white head. Aroma: Sourish, wheat malt. Taste: A mix of wheat malt, subtle banana and light to moderate sour lemon-like lemonade. It's refreshing for sure. Mix of sweet and sour. Interesting also. And very drinkable too. Not my kind of choice when I want a beer, but as a beer-lemonade mix it's far better and more interesting than all Radlers I've ever had before. And I learned more of traditional Bavarian drinking history today...

Trübe bräunliche Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hefiger, malziger Geruch. Geschmacklich hefig, malzig, fruchtig mit Karamell. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.
