(500ml bottle from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours basically black with a small pale brown head. Notes of sweetish chocolate malt with some dark caramel and mdoerate roast, some licorice undertones and a bit of dark fruit, soft bourbon vanilla, some toasty wood, quite light spirit edge, finishing semi-dry with some roast and wood, bit of char and spent coffee, light lingering bourbon and warmth. Medium full but not quite syrupy body, soft to moderate carbonation, nice straight-up bourbon ba stout in a slightly old school malty style.

(On tap @ La Souche Limoilou, Nov 12/19) Pours nearly clear medium orange with an average white head and lace. Notes dominated as expected by nice bright aromatic lemon, light acidity and lots of zest to it, nice balance of bourbon and wood with a little sweet vanilla, rather cocktaillike, with peppery phenolic/woody character, light wild ale character, drying into the finish with nice wood barrel and yeast character. Lightish body, average carbonation. I was impressed by this, more complex than my expectation and a nice blend of cocktail and beer influences. Fun.

A deep dark stout with a very thin brown head. Il, sweet chocolate malt with light vanilla, bourbon barrel notes, alcohol warmth, light licorice, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with loads of licorice, dark fruits, bourbon barrel notes, woody notes, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at Brouhaha Rosemont.

A hazed rosey golden gose with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light lemon, vanilla, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity salty mix of lemon pulp, vanilla, light lactic notes, pleasant. On tap at Bières et Saveurs 2019.
