Clean copper-caramel colour with golden-amber highlights. A big creamy light-beige head with good retention and nice creamy lacing. Toffee aromas with the caramel malts, some grassy hops and floral hints. Even notes of coffee and chocolate do come out. The mouthfeel is thin, but crisp, kind of refreshing with a touch of dryness in the end. Mild roasted malt taste with some decent hop bitterness - for the style. A nice easy-drinking English mild that has lots to offer. Worth having a full pint in the pub.

750ml bottle with cap, for Christmas 2022. Celebrating my 50th review for this brewery. Clean caramel-amber colour with some golden highlights. The head is fizzy, off-white, lasting a decent time and a ring remaining. Sour funk nose with medicinal notes, hints of caramel, bananas, apples, vinegar and apricots. The mouthfeel is on the thin side, refreshing, crisp, with a touch of dryness in the end. Some citrus peel flavours, light earthiness, wood, caramel, grapes. Gets hazy as it pours, near the end, and bitterness starts coming out. An easy-drinking Foeder Aged Belgian Pale Ale. Merry Christmas !

Second Marzen of the night (other being from Switchback). Clean amber-orange colour with golden highlights. Bubbly-frothy off-white head, average stay and some mild lace. Aromas nicely blended with the caramel straw malts and some herbs from the hops. The fruitiness of the malt continues nicely for the style, and the hops are still present, balancing some grassiness to cut the sweetness. Kind of thicker mouthfeel, but the dryness helps in the end. Not a bad Marzen.

500ml clear bottle that pours a slight hazed, light-bright golden-yellow colour with a fizzy white head that disappears quickly. Sour fruity nose with a nice blend of the three fruits - nothing sticking out more than the other. The sourness comes out more in the taste, with again the fruits blending together. A nice refreshing sour ale with good citrus and tropical notes.

355ml can that pours a lightly hazed, light golden-amber colour with a big white head, frothy, slightly creamy with good retention and some foamy lacing left. The carbonation is beautiful, active with tiny bubbles. The zest of limes is definitely in the aromas with some grassy hops eventually coming out. The zest adds dry bitterness in the mouthfeel, and this lingers. If you like real zest, hoppiness in a light Pale Ale - this is the one.
