Half pint in a mug, cask at Wm Hawkes. Espresso head. Deep dark body. Smell of mid-sweet malts, oat and spices. Blended taste of dark malts, oatmeal and spices leading to a smooth roasted finish. Okay stout, easy to drink (shared with Finn, Hull 26.11.2015).

Cask at GBBF 2015, day 1 - London. Pours clear, deep brown with a creamy cap. The aroma holds burnt toast and grains. Light sweet flavor, with more grainy toast, faint cocoa, light earth. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Lightly drying on the finish, with more subtle earthy bitterness, chocolate. Solid mild.
