Bottle 187ml, Batch 1. Pours a deep dark purple color. The aroma was mild and understated with berries and honey and that gave little warning to the intense flavors that would follow. The taste featured robust berries, a bit of pomegranate, and some tannins. The acidity was quite high giving this a very tart explosion on the palate. Honey sweetness was well offset by the tartness. The palate was full and coated the mouth well. Finished long and glorious with lingering tart berries. Overall: A masterpiece. Paired well with an estate gouda.

A- Garnet red color, dark clear liquid, no head.

A- Ripe cherries, honey.

F- Sweet red cherries, honey, mild orange blossom, faint vanilla, jammy.

T- Medium body, slightly oily texture, flat carbonation, jammy finish.

O- Incredible. Tastes like a jar of fresh homemade cherry jam. Some faint orange blossom honey and floral notes that linger slightly on the finish. A whisper of vanilla. Just really lovely stuff especially for a reasonable price.

Nice berry juice aroma, intense honey jammy redcurrant and blackberry notes, hints of sweetness and tartish cherries. Quite balanced and still pretty tasty, but not quite as good as I remembered and not as intense or complex as the best Marlobobo meads

375ml bottle. Pours a lovely reddish purple color. The aroma is somewhat mild with black currants and honey. The taste is a big blast of black currants and honey. There is a slight tartness and some tannin astringency. Palate is full as you'd expect. Finished medium and semi sweet with lingering berry tartness. Overall: Outstanding stuff. Paired well with some estate gouda.
