Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a copper color with a thin slim glossing of a white foamy head that quickly slid off into oblivion. Left barely any lace.
The aroma had a big malt presence over top of some citrusy and herbal hops. Some earthiness and a little bit of damp wood.
The flavor was somewhat malty sweet with a hoppy base trying to balance but doesn’t do the hottest job. Aftertaste lead with the malts and the finish was pretty malty.
The palate was medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, either an old school IPA or an odd English styled one by an American brewer. \"But Mom, there’s so many IPA’s on the market these days, do I have to drink this one again?\" \"That’s okay son, I’m proud of ya to want to keep trying it all, variety is the spice of life.\"

Bottle, undated, from Downtown Wine and Spirits, though I know it showed up fairly recently on the shelves. Drunk 11/20/15.
Incredibly foamy, big, white, rocky head shows strong retention atop a bronze-colored body that is clear and very carbonated. Filtered, force carbonated, I still assume, yet the head and retention is pretty impressive.
About as straightforward and uninspired as you can get in both nose and flavor. It’s like they’ve rediscovered the cascade-hopped IPAs of the mid 2000s. That being said, there’s nothing at all wrong with it and it’s shockingly clean for Paper City. Caramel-laden flavor with stiff carbonation and tons of orange and grapefruit. On the sweeter side, but not obnoxiously so.

Pours pale gold into a Sam glass. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface leaving trailing spiders. Sweet caramel and sour corn aromas. Medium bodied with sweet caramel upfront turning dry in the sourdough and hay middle before a medium-length bread and bitter earth finish.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. White head with good retention craters and recedes leaving spider lacing. Resin and grapefruit aromas. Sharp resin and caramel upfront turning to grapefruit pith in the lasting finish.
