Poured up on tap at Tipsy Cactus where it exhibits a clear gold colored body that supports a white head of foam. The aroma offers up loads of floral, shrubbery and herbal hops as well as an undercurrent of grapefruit and lime like citrus hoppiness. The taste delivers loads of flowery floral hops, herbal green leaf hoppiness and then growing grapefruit and lime citrus bitter hoppiness. The hop bitterness doesn't pull any punches. Unfortunately the hop bill isn't in my wheelhouse. Solidly crafted beer.

Draft pour pint at Goodyear Ballpark. Clean and clear golden. Solid west coast, lots of resinous piney hop character. Mild aroma that's grassy, amd a little straw. Quite a bitter bite here. Good IPA overall that would have paired nicely with the Arizona sun, had it decided to join us on this trip.

Can. Pours a clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of bread and straw with some sweet grains and a bit of cookie backing. Flavor has lots of straw and light grain with a bit of bread and some leaves underlying.

Draught at the brewpub, 11/1/15.
Inky black beer with some cherry cola tints on the edges. Medium to medium high clarity with a beige head that is poorly retained.
Yeast or water in the nose with a very light dusting of cocoa and vanilla. Not really much going on in the nose, yet nor are there any problems.
Moderately sweet caramel and chocolate notes in the flavor also show light vanilla, hints of roast and lots of honey-toffee sweetness on the end. It’s not overly sweet, big picture wise, yet nor is it terribly crisp. Very low complexity, but competently drinkable. Based on the two beers I had here, it seems like just another middle-of-the-road, ubiquitous, high water-to-malt ratio brewpub, translating in to watery, low aroma, low flavor, but clean, drinkable beers. Not dying to go back, but I should at least make it to try some of their bigger beer offerings and see if those are made a little more stringently.

Draught at the brewpub, 11/1/15.
Good clarity in the brassy-copper liquid, with just a slight chill haze. White head atop is medium-sized and retained at cover.
Sourdough-like maltiness, lemons, orange rind and moderate amounts of floral hops are given off in the nose. Not incredibly aromatic and perhaps a touch overshadowed by a fairly strong, doughy-sweet pale maltiness. No alcohol, nor flaw.
Quite a strong mix of sourdough-like maltiness and dry, bitter, citrusy (mostly lemon) hops. There’s sweetness through the middle and lingering on the end and the body is certainly nearing full, mostly on account of the light underattenuation. I wouldn’t call it worty, but this could be a lot more dry and use a lot less bittering hops. Bready malt notes, citrus and light honey all on the finish. Ample carbonation, perhaps a bit much and quite sharp.

Poured up on tap at Craft 64 where it exhibits a clear copper body that supports a thin near white head. The modest aroma offers up an even mix of citrusy hops and maltiness and is coming across rather inviting. Time to dig in. The taste delivers juicy tangelo and clementine as well as bitter grapefruit hops that just ramp up in bitterness and resiny hops to midway. It evens out as the bitterness fades a bit into the finish. Nice stuff and I’m enjoying the play between juicy flavor like hops and the hop bitterness.

Poured up on tap at the Brass Tap in Mesa, AZ where it exhibits clear amber body that supports a thin light tan head. The aroma offers up a blend of pine hops roasted malts and some woody sort of nuttiness with sweet smelling malts in the background. The taste delivers Arrogant Bastard Ale like notes but kind of nuttier and a bit roastier with hops that lean toward grapefruit and lime. Nice. This is bitter, roasted and lightly malty and it comes together with pleasing harmony. Solid. I’ll do more of this anytime.
