[Cask at the Alehouse, Reading.] A bright amber pour with a ring of white head; resinous aroma, clearing the sinuses; thick and Odin the mouth with some sweet orange and grapefruit flavours; then a slowly building warmth and a moreish savoury finish. Not to be rushed.

Can at Cowshed Drinks, Abingdon, 21/07/23. Reddish amber topped with a good sized beige cap. Nose is biscuit, grass, light herb, caramel, dusty hops. Taste comprises toffee, dried fruit rinds, orange peel, dusty hops, biscuit, brown bread, malt forward. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with earthy hop bitterness. Okay for the style.

Can ordered from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Aroma combines citrus and spice. Opaque amber-brown. Foamy off-white head doesn't have staying power. Medium-heavy bitter. Rye. With a sour citrus streak. Underlying malts. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable enough but I prefer my Red IPAs a bit more chewy.
