On tap at Liars Bench, pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma has soft oak, bready malt, and some toasted caramel—smells fairly restrained for a BA barleywine. Flavour is not particularly malty or complex, with toasted caramel, a touch of oak, and bready malt. Not the deepest or most refined malt profile, nor do I really get any barrel. It’s like a miscellaneous strong amber ale, albeit rather chaotic. Okay.

On tap at Liars Bench, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of allium, some dank hops, a touch of melon, and crunchy bready malt. Flavour has a bizarre hop expression, with off-putting allium, some strange herbaceous / vegetal notes, and a sweet bready malt base. The balance doesn’t seem great, and something seems off about the hop expression. Not great.

On tap at Liars Bench, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma has soft bready malt, gentle English hops, and light piney bitterness in there as well. Flavour is much the same, with English bready malt, soft floral hops, and a dry finish. Reasonably constructed—doesn’t really come off all that authentic even given the American hop addition. It’s decent.

On tap at Liars Bench, pours a clear blonde with a medium white head. Aroma is gentle, with subtle spicy Saazy hops and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is bright, with some spicy Saaz, straw, fluffy floral notes, and biscuity malt. Needs more bitterness to convincingly emulate a proper Czech lager but it’s made alright.

On tap at Liars Bench, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of oniony hops, some pine, and biscuity malt to back. Flavour is much the same—too much onion from the Citra for my tastes. Reasonably well-structured beer, just not digging that Citra.
