Description
Remnant Brewing opened in 2018, founded by four friends with a passion for craft beer. Joel is the dollars and cents guy, and Dave is the dreamer with a can-do attitude. Brittany, our GM, brings years of hospitality experience and shapes our team to welcome you into our taprooms. Last, (but arguably most important!) Charlie, our Head Brewer, is the bread and butter of this operation. He brings 17+ years of brewing knowledge to the table and crafts the some of the best beers around.

Draught at the brewery, 12/13/21. Undetermined clarity. Dark brown with cola tints and a small, light-tan head showing low retention. Toasty/roasty nose with hazelnut and buttercream. Mineral, raisin and plum. Light but with a moderate, milk chocolatealt sweetness that bolsters the body in concert with date and raisin fruitiness. Light mineral and brown bread with very gentle lingering acidity. Could stand a bit more hop and/or malt acidity but it's still clean, malty and drinkable.

Draught at the brewery, 12/13/21. Moderately hazy, sunny orange-golden with a small, white head showing medium retention. Dainty pineapple and starfruit with light honey and a touch of cracker. Great tropical feel, no twang or booze. This has more of a guava/starfruit green/tartness than the usual strata crushed pineapple. Same for the flavor; this is the best I've seen strata done, with loads of juicy tropical goodness and little/none of the heavy crushed pineapple that I usually get. Soft, dry and malty. No alcohol or twang noted.

Draught at brewery, 12/13/21. Moderately hazy, bright copper-tinted golden with a small, fluffy, white head showing moderate retention. Beautifully hoppy nose with no twang and all tropical and stone fruit notes. Light honey and a touch of cracker balance nicely. Juicy and yet with spicy and heavily tropical notes. White grape and light mango with honey-like malt notes and a soft, well- attenuated texture. Getting softer and juicier with warming. Really really delicious.

Draught at Tip Tap, 9/21/21. Moderately to heavily hazy, bright naval orange-golden. White head slowly fades to cover. Juicy tropical fruits mix with strong honey and light bubblegum. Very full and enveloping but no alcohol or flaw noted. Similar thick, sweetish, very juicy and tropical flavors could benefit from some more bitterness or, I daresay, more attenuation, but maybe it's just the bubble gummy yeast Im not in love with. Still, malty, soft, juicy and clean.

Can (7/9/20) pour from Fort Point Market, Boston. Appearance is opaque, milky dark yellow with light sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width white foamy head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong tangerine, grapefruit, candied fruit. Taste is tangerine, candied fruit, malt backbone. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation with late spicy, lively kick and fruity finish with dry, lightly bitter finish. Overall, good strength and the right attributes are all basically there. Decent.
